Spring has sprung in Philadelphia and AVA's Resident Artists are busy with their many outside engagements, recitals and concerts. Find out below how our talented Resident Artists are filling their days outside of AVA.
Tenor John Myers is performing the role of Mao Tse-Tung in John Adams' Nixon in China with the Los Angeles Philharmonic on March 3 and 5, alongside the very talented singers seen below.
Special Events Manager & AVAlum Daniel Pantano coordinates a program of current resident artists that will include Soprano Alexandra Nowakowski, Soprano JoAna Rusche, Tenor Marco Cammarota, Baritone Timothy Renner and AVA vocal coach Luke Housner at the piano for the Community Music School, located at 775 W. Tenor Mackenzie Gotcher sings a summer concert early with the Wolf Trap Opera on March 27. Gotcher will also be singing in the Gerda Lissner competition this month.
Starting March 31, soprano Meryl Dominguez, tenor Jonas Hacker and AVA alum Mezzo-soprano Olivia Vote (with baritone John Moore rounding out the mix) perform It's Elementary - Songs of Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water for Lyric Fest. They'll kick things off at The Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill but will come to AVA's Helen Corning Warden theater in April - get your tickets for all dates here.
