Did I get your attention? The one who should be getting your attention is soprano Cristina Nassif who will be singing the title role in Carmen in a new English version production at London’s Royal Albert Hall, which runs from February 24 through March 7 – perfect for a winter weekend in London.
Cristina sent me an email with some provocative promo shots. She says that she is very excited about the production and she knows it's going to be a wonderful night of opera.
Although the big news is Cristina’s Carmen across the pond, even more exciting for local audiences is that we will have the chance to hear her twice. Sunday, April 5 she will sing Strauss’ Four Last Songs with the McLean Orchestra, just a short distance from Washington, DC.
Beginning May 3, she will sing the role of the Countess Almaviva in Opera Delaware’s production of The Marriage of Figaro. This will be sort of a homecoming for Cristina, who resides with her husband Jamie just outside of Philadelphia.
Good work, thanks for sharing this information!!!
